Illustrative Tattoo

For me it was portraits, and I kept negotiating up until all I was doing was dream pieces.
Not every piece is going to be a dream piece right away. Some are close, and some can turn into one if the client trusts you.
Your portfolio isn’t just a record of what you’ve done. It’s an invitation for what you’ll get asked to do again. If you want different work, you have to be willing to leave open time to create and show the work you do want. Show your own designs on fake skin and on friends and family.
In the last post we were filling the gaps in your calendar. Now you’re opening them back up on purpose. You’ll lose some clients, and your calendar will stay open for a while until you fill it with dream clients instead. That’s what focusing on one goal at a time looks like.
How far are you from doing only dream pieces? 👇
This is part of a series on picking one goal at a time. If you missed the other posts, they’re on my page.
