This isn't me slacking though. When you hyper-focus on technical execution and skin details all day, your brain fatigues.

That's the road to burnout.

But letting your mind drift during the routine moments is what triggers the creative breakthroughs you need to solve a complex design layout or a custom composition puzzle.

The staring-off looks like passive rest, but it's your brain doing active problem-solving for your art. Mine needs this part as much as it needs the focus.
