If you want more appointments, "book an appointment" feels like a commitment. That's a friction point.

"Book a consultation" feels like a conversation, and that's what gets people through the door.

That's why I used to have "book a consultation" on my inquiry form, back when I was still building my schedule out to clear 3 to 6 months.

Once I hit capacity, one of the changes I made was switching my page to "book an appointment" because I needed to start filtering.

When you're building, you want the door wide open. When you're full, you want the people walking through it already ready to book.

The words on your form are just one part of where the sorting happens. Every step after that, all the way to the price conversation, keeps sorting for you.
